2. Description of Service

ShelfSwap is a book-swapping platform that enables users to exchange books with each other. Users can list books they own, request books from others, and manage the shipping process through our platform.

3. User Accounts

To use ShelfSwap, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Book Listings and Credits

When listing books, you must:

• Accurately describe the condition of the book
• Own the book you are listing
• Ship books within a reasonable timeframe when requested
• Use the provided shipping labels and tracking

Credits are earned when you successfully send a book to another user and can be redeemed for books listed by other users. Credits do not have cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.

5. Shipping and Fees

Users requesting books are responsible for shipping fees. ShelfSwap provides prepaid shipping labels. The sender is responsible for packaging the book securely and shipping it using the provided label.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• List books you do not own or cannot ship
• Misrepresent the condition of books
• Create multiple accounts to abuse the credit system
• Harass or abuse other users
• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to manipulate or exploit the platform

7. Disputes

If a book does not arrive or is not as described, users should contact us through the platform. We will work to resolve disputes fairly, which may include credit refunds or other remedies.

8. Limitation of Liability

ShelfSwap acts as a platform to facilitate book exchanges between users. We are not responsible for:

• Lost, damaged, or delayed shipments
• Inaccurate book descriptions
• Disputes between users
• The quality or condition of books exchanged

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
